Conservation Program Mission Statement
We at the Portland Aquarium strive to make a positive impact on the Portland community. The mission of the Portland Aquarium Conservation Program is to raise awareness to the general public about the current state of the watersheds of the Pacific Northwest as well as the natural resources of the oceans. Our goal is to promote education about our responsibility of stewardship to protect, restore, and improve these fragile ecosystems and resources through direct community involvement. We are partnering with organizations across the West Coast to bring the best combination of resources to stimulate a positive change in how we as humans view and interact with the natural water sources that surround us in the Pacific Northwest.
We invite everybody to join us in this mission. Stay tuned for regular updates about events, workshops, and new education material we are providing for you to get involved!
Partners
The Portland Aquarium and our partners are joining forces to bring you the best possible combination of resources here on the West Coast to learn more about how we can all do our part in protecting our rivers and oceans. We would like to give a huge thanks to our partners and volunteers! Your help and support are contributing immensely to restoring natural water sources in the Pacific Northwest.
